Oracle 11g Real Application Clusters

Background
In a PRIMECLUSTER environment Oracle 11g Real Application Clusters (Oracle 11g RAC)
utilizes and benefits from services provided by PRIMECLUSTER. Oracle 11g RAC
is using PRIMECLUSTER's node manager to query the status of nodes within
the cluster and to get notifications when a node status is changing. Oracle
11g RAC is also using PRIMECLUSTER's communication method to exchange
messages between its instances, thus benefiting from increased throughput
and higher availability of multiple physical connections between nodes.
PRIMECLUSTER also supports Oracle 10g RAC and Oracle9i
RAC.
Package SMAWrac
SMAWrac provides the necessary libraries for Oracle to utilize PRIMECLUSTER's
services. These libraries are validated and tested in numerous configurations
at Fujitsu in Japan.
Any results of tests at Oracle are also reflected
in Oracle's Metalink
web pages. After passing all tests, the corresponding packages are
made available for downloading on this web site. Please select the
package for your configuration, untar it and follow the steps as outlined
in the readme file.
Notes
Please contact your regional Fujitsu Group Competency Center for
older Oracle versions.
A login (id, password) is required to access Oracle's Metalink pages.
Typically Oracle Support is providing this login to its customers.
